ohh!! I just read at the force.net that Hugh Jackman is supposed to be in Episode 3...how exciting. Now I don't think that anything about Hugh is up at this site. I'm only mildy obsessed with him. i thought he was a good Wolverine, even though he's a foot taller than how tall Wolvie is supposed to be, but they made him look sorta short in the x-men film. Even though I like Hugh i did not see that bad movie he was in with Meg Ryan. But I did see the Saturday Night Live that he was on and he was quite good. So being mildly obsessed with him gives me the typical stories taht I usually tell about people that I'm obsessed with. You know like when you bring up a certain person, I'll always tell the same stupid story without realizing that I"ve told this story before. And of course each time gets more and more exaggerated than the next. For example, Hugh Jackman is from Austrailia, he just adopted a kid, he collects chairs. He likes certain chairs becuase he is so tall (6'3") and its hard to find chairs that he finds comfortable. Once his wife bought him a really kewl chair for his b-day or for his anniversary or something and he really liked taht chair. Get the idea?

Anyways....I saw Spiderman on opening night...we went a little late so we were stuck in the 3rd row from the front. We were so close i could see up Toby Maguire's nose and I could see the frames of the film...it was a hint of it...in the shaking of the picuture on the screen. It made me feel sorta ill, but it did not detract from my enjoyment of the film. It started off really well...it's so kewl becuase Peter Parker is just a big nerdy dorky kid...like we all were and then he's kewl! It slows a bit but then picks up a bit. You have to keep in context that this is a comic book. I was the only one laughing in the theatre when the Green Goblin drank this vile of something then smashed the vile on the floor...You could have set it down gently on the table...but yes, i know it was for dramatic effect. And then later on he's drinking from this glass that I recognize, you can get it from Williams Sonoma...crystal, hand carved in Hungary...$28 for the lo ball version that he had...the hi ball was like $35...anyways, he tosses that away too!! Apparently they did some more shopping at W-S becuase the cappucino machine...the $1700 cappuchino machine Peter and Harry had in their apartment was from there as well. i don't think any of this stuff is spoilers becuase its quite general. One thing that sorta bugged me was Mary Jane's charachter, everyone was in love with her but they didn't make her seem really special or anything. She just sorta seemed like a dim, slow, slightly skanky, loser. She's not sweet, lovable MJ from the comics. But whatever...there is hope that Gwen Stacy will come along in part 2.

Spiderman is coming!! Friday...our friendly neighbourhood Spiderman will be here. I'm so excited! I had forgotten until i went to read my on-line comics and saw that the new Ultimate Spiderman had come out...I think it was issue 20 or 21, it was really really really really good...it was classic Spidey, well not classic as in like old skool, but classic as in this is the Spidey that we know, at one point he pulls down Doc Oc's pants and i laugh and cry out 'tighty whities!" and the next panel is our Spidey cracking a joke about Doc Oc's undies...anyways, i guess you had to read it...go read it, it was one of the best comics I've read in a while.

Elektra was really good too, I like this storyline and I've been wondering where they are going with it, this new one was book two of the story. The only thing that sucked really bad as the art and the fact that Elektra doesn't wear shoes. I have a thing about feet and stuff...I don't like them. Get this girl some Jimmy Choo's! I'm sure i said this before! She's a comic book charachter, she can bust a ninja move in heels.

Since I'm studying again, The Phantom Menace has been popped back into the DVD player. I don't even really like it that much, but its a good thing to have on becuase it'll distract me enough without me having to look up every minute.
